A glimpse of all the action from our 2012 Autumn/Winter photo-shoot.
Yes we know it’s only just summer time, but the fashion world waits for no man, so we’ve had to crack on with the shoot for the 2012 Autumn/Winter collection. After months of design and production, weeks of creative thinking in marketing and some pain staking model searches the Bench team found itself taking up residence around the rather industrious, urban backdrop of East London.
The Brief?
To create a stripped back, simple feel capturing real, genuine moments in an undefined urban location.
The Photographer…
Dan Wilton. An international man of mystery who can boast having pointed a lens at the likes of James Blake, SBTRKT, Dizzee Rascal and Jessie J, as well as fashion clients such as Vice, Tank & Lazy Oaf. Bench loves his candid approach. A kind of natural, unforced style that fits well with our new Autumn/Winter collection.
The Models…
Six lovely beautiful people. Kelly (affro) from New York, Danny W (dark hair) from Manchester, George (lighter hair) from Brighton, Lucie (dark hair) from Berlin who was scouted at Bread and Butter Berlin, Joe (short hair and piercings) from London and Laura W from London who both featured in our last campaign
The Location…
Only the most creative hubs of our capital city – Shoreditch, Brick Lane, The Box Park, Dalston, Hoxton and The South Bank.
The Clothes…
The new autumn winter collection is out to impress. with great new colours, including a lush forest green and dusty pink that have been bought in to give a new twist to the collection. We shot 60 outfits in total with an international flavour for reveal in Germany, the UK and Canada. Keep your eyes on the blog. We’ll let you know when they are available to buy in the shops.
The Highlights…
Working alongside Vice Magazine is always a bonus. Shooting on top of a 20 story roof top overlooking the London sky scape (see picture above). As excitement goes, it doesn’t get much better than a high-tech heli-cam at night with flare guns for effect. And then there was the weather. We were incredibly lucky with the weather – the whole shoot was based outdoors during a week when the news reported the heaviest rain fall since records began for the week before. But while it rained a little it didn’t disrupt the shoot and we managed to create a Fall look in May. Hooray. And here are a few behind the scenes shots to wet your appetite…
