Melt! madness is about to begin. Tickets sold like hotcakes weeks ago. And with a line up that includes Plan B, Laurent Garnier, Plan B, Gossip, The Vaccines, Sebastian, Lana Del Ray, Bloc Party, Square Pusher and so much more, it’s not hard to see why. Bench will be there with Threads TV, to capture all the action,  grab some post stage comments and check out the best of the events festival fashion.

Ones to Watch Out For

Plan B: Always brilliant live and hot of the heels of a Stone Roses support in Manchester, if the sun is shining, this feel good set will really rocket a bouyant festival mood.

The Vaccines: Friday night will kick off with some solid guitar from this four-piece to bring back memories of the days when excellent guitar music was synonymous with the term “Madchester”.

Richie Hawkins: Artist, DJ, conceptualist and ambassador, more than anyone else in modern electronic music, Richie Hawtin has relentlessly proved himself to be a true innovator.

Josh Wink: Takes over Big Wheel with his mix of techno, acid house and drum’n'bass.

Matador: A Dublin-based member of the M_nus family. He just released his brand-new Spooky EP on 19th March.

Lana Del Rey: She’ll perform songs off her album Born To Die.

Squarepusher: Sure to be an eclectic treat of electronic tricks.

Nero: This UK Duo smash a mesh of drum n’ bass with dubstep and 90s house.

Little Boots: Reminiscent of Chicago’s Warehouse and NY’s Paradise Garage.

I Heart Sharks: Sure to fire some summer gems.

Monkey Maffia: Representing the German electro label Freude Am Tanzen at Sleepless Floor.

And while the music continues to bombard our hedonistic senses for three days, those who wish can escape the festival’s fast-paced debauchery for a little while and find shelter at Orangerie to listen to German authors reading from their novels. Read more
